We have a winner on our hands here. Ferguson chop house is one of the best restaurants in St. Louis. The Ribeye, Filet, and strip steak were spot on. Shrimp cocktail shrimp were huge and perfectly prepared. Wedge salad worth it. Finished with cheese cake and carrot cake. Definitely will return. Dave was a good server too.
A nightmare worst time ever!!!! Try to go and have a great time for my sister birthday, we had to be there at 7:15 we didn’t get seated til 7:30 for them to put us in the back where we didn’t have no room to move. The waitress she was horrible she had an attitude. Then for them to start bringing us bread I guess so we can get full off that the bread didn’t come til 8:05 still waiting on our food because we been place our order. For us to start getting our food for it to be cold, steak wasn’t cooked at the right temperature, for some of us to get the chicken breast u get two they spit it half where u only got one. U would think the manager/owner come over and check say sorry for ur inconvenience but HELL NO HE WAS TRYING TO DISMISS US!!!! I will NEVER GO BACK
A waste of $180. Food was cold and we live .08 miles from the restaurant. Twice baked potato was a half done potato dug out in the middle with the fixings thrown on top. Lobster flavor was there however they were super dry and hard; the asparagus had no taste what’s so ever. Parking was a mess as the establishment shares a parking lot with many other businesses. The restaurant was cramped and the wait was unbelievably long. Terrible food service experience.
The service was excellent! I had the prime rib, my wife had the new york strip, our other guest had the stuffed chicken breast. The food itself was cooked perfect to temp but there was very little seasoning. They also asked if we had a reservation, we were there on a Thursday right at 5pm the time they open, they are closed on Tue and Wed. That means I would have to make a reservation on Monday to eat on thur? I eat spur of the moment I don't wanna wait days to eat.
We arrived shortly after five and we were one of 3 tables dining at that that time. Our first impression was when my husband asked how our waitress was doing, she only had complaints about her job. She expressed her frustration that they need to hire more people and that she needs help. That takes me back to the point that where only couple other tables being waited on and two other servers. We ordered an appetizer of toasted ravioli. When they came out they were small and very burnt. In my line of work, I am very much aware of the required temperature control guidelines. That being said, there is no way the sauce for the ravioli was within the guidelines of 140-160f. It was room temperature. Also I’m not sure if it was suppose to be chunks of meat in a very runny sauce. There was a large party coming in however, when we ordered the appetizer, we also placed our dinner order. My husband ordered the wedge salad. It was small but it tasted good. I ordered the lobster bisque. It had good flavor however the temperature was not to the requirements of 135-165. It was room temperature at best. Our dinner took about 30 minutes after the soup and salad. Which really is not a problem although not timed well either. Again, the large party had not ordered yet. When the meals arrived, my steak was supposed to be medium, it was rare. It was taken back. Rather than making a new one, it was cooked longer. I had cut into the steak. Due to cross contamination, I sure hope that it did not go back on a grill. I did not eat it after that. The flavor was gone from it at this point since it was cut into then cooked longer. For a high end priced restaurant, this was not the way to handle the steak. My husband ordered the pork chop. It was chewy and not edible. The waitress asked my husband what was wrong. He told her his concerns and offered to get him something else. He declined. Honestly, that should not have been on the bill. The waitress came back out and said the cook would like to know what was wrong with it for future reference. Again, for a higher end priced restaurant, the waitress should have notified the manager. It is not up to us to find the manager to express concerns. After we were done it took another 20 minutes to receive the check. We were very hopeful because we very rarely eat at chain realty and we believe in dining local. However we will not be returning.
Nice place to have dinner, only open certain days of the week. Nice atmosphere very laid back, but not what I was expected steaks was juicy but very bland, chicken was the same as the steak. But gotta try It for yourself. Very high end on prices,
Took my father for a birthday dinner. We both absolutely enjoyed this dining experience. The food was great as well as the service. We loved the intimate setting and the ambiance! Although, it did take a little longer than normal for our appetizers and food to come out, the overall experience canceled out that small complaint. I’ve told multiple friends and family members about this establishment. I cannot wait to dine in again!
Food was amazing. Lemon drop was great. The best customer service ever. Clean and very welcoming.
